Fundraisers for beaten cabbie

A fundraiser is being held at the Whistling Walrus in Hamilton Wednesday night for Muhammnad Anwar Sajid — the cab driver who was viciously beaten by a customer last month.

Tonight’s event was organized by a neighbour of the Sajid family. Several bands are on the bill, and all of the proceeds will be donated to the Sajids, to help them with ongoing costs of treatment and child care.
