Frustration grows along with line ups at Pearson

Long lines for Pearson flyers

Anyone trying to fly out of Pearson Airport today is likely in for some long lines.

You can see some of those lines here as passengers wait for their flights this morning.

The delays are due to an illegal work-to-rule by the security company in charge of screening passengers.

There is a notice posted on the Garda staff website, that was not available to the public.

It says The Canadian Industrial Relations Board has ordered the employees of Garda Screening Security Inc. at terminal one and terminal three immediately resume performing duties of their employment and that these employees cease and desist from participating in any activities which constitute a strike.

The Garda workers say scheduling issues, and the shift from full-time to part-time hours are their key issues.
