Friendship Festival takes off in Fort Erie

Carnival rides, vendors, and food trucks are flooding Mather Park for Fort Erie’s annual Friendship Fest.

The international Friendship Festival was created to celebrate food relations between Canada and the United States since the end of the was of 1812.

Since then the festival has evolved including, local bands, yoga in the park, and fireworks.

The 33rd annual festival continues July 21.
