Free Admission Day in Hamilton

To kick off the Canada Day long weekend, Hamiltonians got to enjoy the great sites and sounds of city today, free of charge. In celebration of the Hamilton Community Foundation’s 60th anniversary, the group is paying admission to more than 50 Hamilton pools, galleries and museums. Families enjoyed a part of Canadian History while taking in Canadian Warplane Museum’s collection of aircrafts.
While many people opted to enjoy the wonderful weather outside at the Royal Botanical Gardens and Webster’s Falls. The foundation says the gesture is just one small way it can thank the community for decades of support. The group takes donations and distributes them as grants to local charities in the arts, culture and recreation.
