Franck Gervais charged with impersonating a soldier

Ottawa police have charged a man who claimed to be a decorated soldier during a Remembrance Day ceremony.
Police announced on Saturday they charged Franck Gervais with impersonating a public officer, misleading use of a badge or uniform and two other charges in connection with his activities at the war memorial that day.
Gervais, who was interviewed in full military uniform on national television, turned himself in to police Saturday afternoon.
He has been suspended with pay from his job at a construction company.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
Gervais will appear in court on December 9th.
