Four dogs on the loose causes traffic jam on Highway 403

Just before 8 a.m. today the OPP and Peel regional police were notified that four dogs were on Highway 403 near Hurontario.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the scene caused a lot of distraction on the highway, “people got out trying to corral these dogs and get them off the highway.”
Police along with MTO and Mississauga Animal Services worked together to safely capture one large American Bulldog and three smaller Boxers.
There’s no word yet on how the dogs actually got onto the highway. Their owner collected them at Mississauga Animal Services this morning and brought them home.
The dogs are now relaxing back at home.
Animal services will do an investigation to find out how they actually got onto the highway and try and find out who let the dogs out.
