Four people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Hamilton pharmacy earlier this year.

Shortly after 9 p.m. on Jan. 15, four thieves entered the Shoppers Drug Mart on Fennell Ave. East armed with a loaded gun.

The store’s pharmacist was told to fill a garbage bag with narcotics.

The suspects fled the store with the drugs. A few hours later, police found the bag of narcotics, the gun, and two stolen vehicles.

Following a six-month investigation, officers arrested Erik Kalanyos, 23, Petr Krajnak, 20, and two boys, aged 16 and 17. They are facing more than 55 robbery and firearms-related charges.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and officers expect to make more arrests.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to contact Det. Cst. Matt Robinson at 905-546-8935 or Det. Sgt. Andrea Torrie at 905 546-2991.
