Fort Erie Race Track layoffs

Employees at the Fort Erie Race Track are once again facing job losses.

With the track’s future still uncertain, pink slips had to go out yesterday to give them 8 weeks notice in case the track does shut down after this season ends on October 15th.

The same notices were handed out last year after the province withdrew its slots from Fort Erie. Changes made to improve the track’s income this year have had some success.
