Fort Erie man faces more charges

A Fort Erie man is facing additional charges as part of an ongoing investigation by the Niagara Regional Police Service.
Police say on the morning of June 1, uniform officers and the K9 unit responded to a break and enter in the area of Catherine St. and Aberdeen St. in Fort Erie.
The K9 tracked a possible suspect to a home in the area of Lavinia St. and Douglas St.
Later that day detectives executed a search warrant at the home and seized stolen property from the break and enter.
Police say detectives also located property linked to multiple break and enters over the last few months along with a prohibited weapon.
Police charged 40-year-old Greg Tarantini and 40-year old Dawn Russo of Fort Erie with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Police also additionally charged Tarantini with break and enter and failure to comply with release order.
Today, police charged Tarantini again with four more counts of break and enter.
He is expected to appear in court on June 9.
The investigation remains ongoing as detectives review the property located in Tarantini’s residence.
Detectives anticipate further charges to be laid.
