Fort Erie man critically injured in single-vehicle crash

A 31-year-old man from Fort Erie is in critical condition following a single-vehicle crash in Niagara Falls.
It happened around 12:10 a.m. Monday on Montrose Rd. near Koabel Rd.
Police say the victim was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion southbound on Montrose Rd. when he lost control of his vehicle. The car went into a ditch, broke through two fences and came to a stop on its roof in the yard of a home.
Another motorist called 911 after finding the vehicle.
The man was taken to a local hospital before being air lifted to an out of town hospital in critical condition.
The collision remains under investigation by Detectives of the Niagara Regional Police Services Collision Reconstruction Unit.
