There was an outpouring of grief and devotion in Mississauga Sunday as people paid tribute to former mayor Hazel McCallion.

Mayor of Mississauga for 36 years, McCallion will lie in a state of repose for two days before her funeral on Feb. 14.

As the City of Mississauga, and the rest of Ontario and Canada remember Hazel McCallion, people lined up to honour one of the country’s longest-serving mayors.

McCallion died of pancreatic cancer two weeks ago after receiving a diagnosis around Christmas.

She was 101, born on Valentine’s Day, and would have turned 102 Tuesday, the day of her funeral.
