Former Finance Minister underestimated

The figure of one billion dollars for the total costs of cancelling the gas plants isn’t new. In fact, the opposition and other experts have been using it for at least a year now. But when I asked then Finance Minister Dwight Duncan about that number in an interview almost one year ago, he angrily defended his government’s original estimate, adding the billion dollar figure made no sense.
