The forensic investigation into the death of Tim Bosma is expected to wrap up today as the search continues for two more suspects.

All week police have been searching properties owned by Dellen Millard, 27, who is charged with first degree murder in Bosma’s death.

Today Hamilton police were at a house next-door to Millard’s home in Etobicoke, collecting security video from cameras on the outside of the house. And more questions are emerging today about Millard, including whether he is connected in any way to his father’s death and the disappearance of a Toronto woman.

Police say so far they’ve received more than 700 tips during this investigation.

His wife Sharlene, described Tim as “everyone’s buddy”, and from the growing tribute outside her home it’s apparent just how many people he’s touched. Too upset to speak to CHCH News on camera today she told us it’s been tough, but everyone’s support is helping to get her through it.

His story has had an impact on many, including Peter Lowe who knew Tim through a mutual friend, and felt compelled to help out. Soon, he became an instant member of the Bosma family. “I was the only non family member in on any of the briefings or anything else. I earned their trust early.”

Lowe helped get the word out online, encouraged the family to talk to the media and was even there on Tuesday when the family learned the horrifying news of Tim’s murder.

“For the family, it was devastating. There is just no way to describe what the conversation went like.”

He says he felt their pain, and through this tragic ordeal a bond was formed. “There was a comfort in that house from people who understood what went on there and it’s good to be back with them. I’ve been back with them a number of times since they are lifelong friends now.”

Toronto Police have confirmed they’ve re-opened the investigation into Millard’s father’s death last December. The cause had originally been ruled a suicide.

They’re also looking at a missing woman who’s connected to Millard. Laura Babcock, 23, went missing last July. Her ex-boyfriend says she was in contact with Millard shortly before her disappearance. Phone records show her very last call was made to Millard on July 3, 2012.

CHCH News tried to speak to Hamilton police outside that Etobicoke home today, but they drove off and we were told we’d have to direct all of our questions to hamilton police homicide detective Matt Kavanagh. We tried to reach him several times today for an update on the investigation, but he hasn’t returned our calls.
