Ford video reportedly gone

The website that broke the story of a cell phone video allegedly showing Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack now says the video is gone.
In a message posted on Gawker-dot-com Tuesday night, the editor says he’s finally reached the intermediary who was acting on behalf of the video’s owner and was told that the video is quote “gone”.

There is no indication of what the intermediary means when he says it’s “gone”. But the site raised $200,000 to buy the video which Ford has spent almost three weeks either avoiding questions on or giving non-specific answers to its existence or any drug use on his part. Gawker says it’s been told a copy of the alleged video has been made and that it still wants to buy it.
