Ford plant tower demolished

The smoke stack at the Oakville Ford plant was successfully demolished this morning.

Heavy fog prevented a good view of the demolision, but a loud explosion could be heard as the tower was brought down around 6 a.m.

The tower was part of the old assembly plant’s paint shop. It, along with other neighbouring buildings, was decommissioned five-years ago.
