Ford goes on the attack

The continued unravelling of Rob Ford’s term as Mayor has several new developments Thursday in a scandal that is attracting a lot of unwanted attention toward Toronto City Hall.  However, there are now signs that the saga may be reaching a conclusion.  But we do need to caution you on the subject matter discussed in one of Ford’s news conferences earlier in the day.  The language that Mayor Ford uses is considered to be offensive.  So with that being said, some of our coverage may not be suitable for all viewers.  Ford stunned the assembled reporters and shocked Canadians and others around the world with his choice of words while defending himself against allegations that he made lewd comments to a female staffer.  City Councillors quickly responded; one saying he used language that none of us should use.  It had Ford apologizing once.  But that’s not all; he threatened to sue former staffers and he admitted to possibly drinking and driving.  Sean Leathong has been covering daily events for us all week and has the details.
