Premier Doug Ford says he’s ready to make the United States “feel the pain.”

Ford was warning U.S. President-elect Donald Trump not to go ahead with tariffs against Canada.

Ford also indicates he may call an Ontario election if Trump carries out his tariff threat.

Premier Ford says he’ll be meeting with the premiers and prime minister on Jan. 15 to talk about the tariffs.

He’s been trying for several weeks to set up a face-to-face interview with Donald Trump but there’s no word from his office that the meeting is going to happen.
