Flurries fouling flights at Pearson

The weather caused delays and flight cancellations at Pearson International Airport all day. At Pearson, the weather cancelled over 100 incoming and 100 departing flights.
Flights through Pearson and Billy Bishop Airport were being affected by snow.
WestJet says there could be delays or cancellations for flights to or from the GTHA, Kitchener-Waterloo, Montreal, Halifax and New York.
Reports say it was a record breaking snowfall at Pearson International Airport with more than 14 centimetres falling in one day. And that had a big impact on flights and passengers.
“It was well communicated. They kept delaying it and hour at a time you know, it’s delayed. We got up to the counter and they cancelled it. I had a phone call that is was cancelled. So it was right up until then that we were flying. After that buy a ticket back home.”
“They’re professionals they know what they’re doing. They’re not doing it on purpose. It’s not their fault so you know you just got to let them do what they do.”
“11:45 was supposed to be my boarding time and I reached here at 11:50 so they told me you can’t get on flight so. I was late due to weather. You can see the snow and when I called taxis, they were all ‘you can get a taxi in one hour’ and so it was due to weather.”
