Flooding leads to partial evacuation of St. Catharines hospital

Part of the St. Catharines hospital emergency department has been evacuated because of a flood.
Niagara Health says a fire sprinkler line was pulled by a patient around 5:30 a.m. on Monday.
Flooding led staff to transfer 16 ER patients to other areas of the hospital.
The emergency department is still accepting walk-ins but ambulances have been temporarily redirected to the Greater Niagara General and Welland sites.
