Flint wins CANUSA Games

Flint has won the 59th edition of the CANUSA Games.
Hundreds of athletes from Hamilton and Flint, Michigan faced off in 17 different sports this weekend in Hamilton.
The 7-6 win gives the Michigan city a 29-26 edge over Hamilton through the history of the annual competition. Four years ended in ties.
In the annual mayor’s competition Hamilton Mayor Fred Eisenberger beat Flint City administrator Sylvester Jones in pickleball.
The competition dates back to 1958 and is based on foundations of friendship between the two communities. This year the games were held in Hamilton on back-to-back years, because of problems with the municipal water supply in Flint. Next summer’s games return to Flint.
