Flaherty in favour of abolishing Senate

Canada’s Finance Minister has made his position on the Upper Chamber very clear. Jim Flaherty says he completely supports the idea of abolishing the Senate.
Flaherty said Monday, “I really have no interest in it, other than it’s disruptive of what we’re trying to do economically, jobs growth and long-term perspective. The debate around proposed suspensions for Senators Mike Duffy, Pamela Wallin and Patrick Brazeau remained centre stage during Question Period in Ottawa Monday afternoon.
