Five adults in hospital with serious injuries after multi-vehicle crash on Linc

Five adults were sent to hospital following a multi-vehicle collision on the Hamilton Mountain Sunday afternoon.

Hamilton police said the four-vehicle crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on the westbound Linc exit to Mohawk Rd. West.

Officers said the five adults were sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Due to the severity of the injuries, the Hamilton Police Service Collision Reconstruction Unit is assisting the Traffic Safety Unit with the investigation.

Driver impairment has been ruled out but all other contributing factors are still under investigation.

Police said no one has been arrested or charged at this time.

The intersection was closed for approximately six hours for the investigation.
