First responders called to a drowning in the Niagara River
Emergency crews responded to a drowning call in the Niagara river yesterday afternoon and discovered a diver in medical distress.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics were called to the area of Dufferin Street and Niagara Boulevard around 2:30 after a man was found in the water.
we’re learning St Catharines fire and EMS were also sent to the scene. Cameras captured life-saving measures performed at the edge of the river.
Unfortunately, emergency responders did not have any further updates today and the man’s condition is unknown at this time.
