It’s the signature of Victoria Day. The show that begins and ends with a bang. Fireworks are expected to light up the sky on Sunday and Monday night to celebrate the long weekend and it’s a tradition many people enjoy. Whether the show is enjoyed at a public place or in your own backyard, safety must always be the number one concern. Some safety points one must remember before a firework display are: you must be 18-years-old or older to set off fireworks; anything you light must be supported in a sand or dirt pot; and the wick must be well exposed. It is also important to keep a safe distance from the fireworks and to be mindful of the wind.
