Firefighters to compete in Burlington

Firefighters from across Canada and the U.S. are coming to Burlington on the Friday the 13th weekend to pit their auto rescue skills against each other.

The competition involves different rescue scenarios with wrecked vehicles and the teams will be graded by a panel of judges.

The challenge is an annual event and the goal is to help rescuers stay current with auto extrication practices and share ideas and techniques to improve life-saving techniques.
