Firearms seized, one man arrested after Hamilton mountain neighbour dispute

Hamilton police say a neighbour dispute on Monday afternoon led to the seizure of two firearms and the arrest of one man.
Officers were called to a residence in the area of Mohawk Road and Upper Ottawa Street at approximately 12 p.m. for a report of a firearm.
Investigators say two people were fighting when another man allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim and suggested they return home.
The victim complied before the armed man fled in his vehicle.
Police later located the man and were able to identify the 30-year-old from Hamilton.
Search warrants were conducted at the man’s residence and two firearms were seized. The man was charged with the following:
- Point Firearm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (2)
- Prohibited Firearm
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was a Firearm
- Possession Contrary to Order
