Hamilton police have arrested a man after a residential search warrant Wednesday.

Police say the warrant took place Wednesday afternoon in the area of Mud Street and Winterberry Drive.

Police seized a loaded handgun, illicit drugs worth around $15,000 and over $72,000. Scales were also seized.

30-year-old Gurpreet Singh Atwal from Hamilton faces various possession of drugs and firearm charges.
