Fire prevention officers are investigating the cause of a fire that gutted a 27-room motel in Niagara Falls yesterday.

Firefighters found the Star Inn on Lundy’s lane fully engulfed in flames when they arrived yesterday afternoon. The flames were put out quickly, and no one was injured.

The Red Cross helped 11 people who were staying in the motel.

Niagara Regional Police were on site yesterday and say the fire is not being considered suspicious.
