Fire extinguisher kills driver

Ontario Provincial Police reveal it was a fire extinguisher that smashed through the windshield of a vehicle last Thursday on the QEW.

Police say the fire extinguisher fell off a garbage truck and bounced several times before hitting the SUV near Mississauga Road. The truck driver has been co-operating with the investigation.

An autopsy shows it was the impact of the object that killed 43-year-old Miguel Pena.

A funeral for Pena is planned for Saturday.
