Fire destroys OPP detachment in Cambridge

Fire has destroyed a provincial police detachment in southwestern Ontario.
The blaze ripped through the building of the OPP’s Cambridge detachment Tuesday afternoon.
OPP say officers in the Cambridge area will now be operating out of a collision reporting centre in Milton.
The detachment commander says he saw smoke, found the roof was on fire and had the building evacuated.
Everyone got out safely.
Firefighters were still dousing hot spots Tuesday night.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
