Fire destroys Oakville home

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office is investigating after a fire destroyed an Oakville home Saturday night.

Twenty firefighters were called to a house on Morrison Creek Crescent just before 11:00.

A garage attached to the house was fully engulfed in flames. An elderly woman was pulled out by firefighters and suffered serious smoke inhalation.

Another woman in her 40s escaped the fire but also suffered smoke inhalation.

Damaged is pegged at $200,000.
