Fire destroys Mississauga home

Cold weather made it difficult for fire crews to battle a blaze in Mississauga Friday night.
The fire was at a house on Ingram Road at about 11:30. It took over 3 hours to get the flames under control because extreme temperatures were causing equipment, air masks and tanks to freeze. Fire fighters also had to shovel out a fire hydrant that was buried under the snow.
The fire marshal’s office is investigating the blaze, but right now it is not believed to be suspicious.
Police don’t think anyone was home when the fire broke out.
