Fire causes $340 000 worth of damage, sends one firefighter to hospital

Hamilton fire crews were on scene at an intense building fire on Main Street East in Hamilton last night.

The fire at 1327 Main St. E. was contained to just that building and did not spread to the adjoining building. They say the cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical.

One firefighter was sent to the hospital for heat related issues.

Officials say the estimated damage of the fire is around $340 000.
