Fire at vacant home on Barton Street causes $200K worth of damage

Hamilton fire officials say a fire at a vacant home on Barton Street has caused $200,000 in damage.
Firefighters were called to Barton St., east of Centennial Parkway North, around 7 p.m. Monday night.

When crews arrived, they confirmed a fire inside the back of the house. Crews went into the home and were able to put out the blaze before it spread throughout the rest of the home.
The house was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
