Fire at Salerno Dairy

At least 7 fire crews were called to the Salerno Dairy plant on Morley Street near Parkdale Avenue North around 11 Monday morning.

The roof of an under-construction portion of the dairy product manufacturer caught fire, forcing crews to attack the blaze from above and underneath. Investigators aren’t sure what caused the fire, but say that section of the roof was being worked on during the morning. No injuries have been reported.
