Fighter’s death renews MMA safety concerns
Updated The MMA community is under the microscope tonight after a man who lived and trained in Hamilton died shortly after his first fight last weekend.
He had been training in Hamilton for just over a year. Born in Nigeria, Pablo Elochukwu was big in size at over 270 pounds, and friends say big in heart. News of his sudden death at an unsanctioned event in Port Huron, Michigan underscores the violence of the MMA.
