Fight leads to stabbing in Hamilton’s Westdale area

Hamilton police are searching for at least three men following a stabbing in Westdale last month.

It happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 29 in the area of Whitney Ave. and Emerson St.

Police say a “physical confrontation” broke out between two groups and two men were stabbed. The victims, aged 19 and 20, were also sprayed with a noxious substance.

The pair was taken to hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say roughly five to six people were seen fleeing the scene in a small black vehicle.
