The mystery around the deaths of a Canadian soldier and his new wife in Toronto has deepened.

Police say a fetus found last month at their apartment building is a DNA match to murder-suicide victim Precious Charbonneau. The discovery was made three days after 43-year-old Robert Giblin stabbed Charbonneau, threw her over the balcony, then jumped himself.

Initially, police didn’t believe the discovery of a fetus was connected to the couple’s deaths.
