Festive events across the Golden Horseshoe

It was a festive weekend across the golden horseshoe.
On Saturday families lined Main Street for the 57th annual Grimsby Santa Claus parade.
In Hamilton more than 250 santa clauses, reindeer and elves took part in this year’s ‘Santa Shuffle Fun Run and Elf Walk’ to support the Salvation Army’s Christmas kettle campaign.
Last year’s race raised over $8,000 and organizers are hoping to surpass that figure this time around.
Similar events also took place in 39 different cities across the country.
Prizes were awarded to the fastest runners, walkers and top-fund raisers.
In Stoney Creek nearly 10,000 people lined King St. East for the Santa Claus parade.
Over 80 organizations participated in the event.
