The 38th annual Festival of Friends kicks off this evening at the Ancaster Fairgrounds.

This is the third year since the festival moved from Gage Park in downtown Hamilton to the outskirts of Ancaster.

More than 40 performers will be taking to the stage over the course of the weekend, including classic acts like Chubby Checker, The Five Man Electrical Band and David Clayton Thomas.

Black-Eyed Peas Member, Taboo, is the headliner tonight, Theory of a Deadman headlines tomorrow and Mickey Mart, the drummer for the legendary Grateful Dead closes out the festival on Sunday.

Thousands of people are expected this weekend, and our Sean Cowan was at the Ancaster Fairgrounds taking it all in.
