A female pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a driver on the QEW in Burlington Sunday night, OPP say.

They say she was struck in the Toronto-bound lanes of the highway near North Shore Blvd. just after 10 p.m.

Investigators haven’t said why the pedestrian was on the highway and haven’t yet publicly identified her.

They are asking anyone who was in the area of the QEW, near North Shore Blvd., after 10 p.m. Sunday to contact them at 905-681-2511.
