Father of missing baby says infant is dead

A father from Woodbridge, charged with abducting his nine-week-old son, has told police his child died around Nov. 1.

Ricky Doodhnaught, 31, was arrested earlier this month and charged with abduction.

However, his son George wasn’t found at the time.

Police say Doodhnaught gave them a statement on Friday saying the baby had died, but they haven’t been able to confirm that information because the baby’s remains haven’t been found.

Doodhnaught’s next court appearance will be Dec. 30.
