Fatal VIA crash victims identified
(Video updated) We now know the names of the three VIA Rail engineers who were killed in Sunday’s derailment in Burlington.
They are Frank Robinson, 40, of Cornwall – who was a trainee; Peter Snarr, 52, and Ken Simmonds, 56, both of Toronto.
The train’s data box has been recovered and is being examined by Transportation Safety Board investigators, who say the train was in the process of changing tracks when it derailed.
