Police investigating fatal overnight crash in Lincoln

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash in Lincoln.

Officers were called to the area of North Service Rd. and Sann Rd. around 1 a.m. Friday.

Police say it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a pole.

There was significant damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

The passenger, a 20-year-old man from Lincoln, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was an 18-year-old woman also from Lincoln. She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
