Fatal crash on Niagara QEW as freezing rain swept the region

The 24-year-old woman who was killed in the collision on the QEW has been identified as Erika Enriquez.

A Gofundme page describes Erika as a positive, happy young lady who had an infectious laugh.

Her SUV crashed with a transport truck on the QEW near Jordan road on Sunday morning when the freezing rain started.

This major winter storm has been deadly. At least three people have been killed in separate crashes including a 24-year-old St Catharines woman who died in a collision in Niagara.
