A serious crash in Stoney Creek has claimed the life of one person.

The driver of a car was killed when it crashed into a truck on Mud Street East, about 250 metres east of Tapleytown Road.
The accident occurred at 11:40am Tuesday.
Traffic is being diverted from Tapleytown Rd to Fifth Road East on Mud St while collision reconstruction teams investigate.
A sizeable diesel spill from the truck has been contained but will need to be cleaned up.
