OPP closed Highway 400 in both directions on Thursday due to a traffic collision that killed one woman. It happened around 2:15am, near Barrie, in the northbound lanes approaching Mapleview Dr.

A transport truck went through the guard rail, hitting a car travelling in the southbound lanes. There have been reports of blowing snow and icy conditions in the area at the time.
