Farm crash fine

A Beamsville tender fruit grower has been fined three-thousand dollars.

This stems from an incident where one of his workers was seriously injured when his tractor was hit by a car.

It happened on the service road in Beamsville last May.

The worker was driving a tractor equipped with a roll-over protection structure but it wasn’t engaged at the time of the crash.

The worker had never been shown how to use it.

James Douglas Warner pleaded guilty to the violation under the occupational health and safety act.
