Farley Mowat laid to rest

The life of Farley Mowat is being celebrated today at a funeral in his hometown of Port Hope.
The beloved author and environmentalist died last week at the age of 92. Mowat penned over 40 books, including “Owls in the Family” and “Lost in the Barrens.”
Mourners, including federal Green Party leader Elizabeth May, filed into St. Mark’s Anglican Church in Port Hope.
For the past few decades, Mowat divided his time between Port Hope and Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
