Fans of Tragically Hip left disappointed again

If you were at FirstOntario Centre waiting in line at the box office Friday morning or on your computer ready for the release of Tragically Hip tickets you were most likely left disappointed.

Tickets were sold out in a matter of seconds after pre-sales snatched up the majority of seats for the August show.

Doors to the box office at FirstOntario Centre opened at 10 am. Over 75 fans waited for hours to snatch up seats for the Tragically Hip’s farewell tour but only a few left smiling.

Scott Warren, the General Manager of Core Entertainment which owns FirstOntario Centre says there’s not enough room in the building for the amount of people who want to come to the concert.

Tickets sold out in a matter of minutes not only Hamilton but in Toronto, London and Winnipeg

People who weren’t lucky enough to get a ticket will have to decide how much they want to spend online.

Some tickets on StubHub are upwards of $1000.

Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster has not responded to CHCH’s request to reveal the total number of tickets that were available Friday morning.
